Livestock Tracking

Track herds on open pasture with 4G and LoRaWAN collars and BLE / LoRaWAN ear tags — location, virtual fencing, temperature and activity monitoring from one dashboard.

Overview

On large grazing areas, finding a sick animal or a broken fence can take half a day. Counting is done by eye, theft is hard to detect, and heat or illness is usually noticed only after production has already dropped.

WEST livestock tracking puts a collar or ear tag on each animal and reports position, temperature and activity to a platform. Virtual geo-fences raise an alert the moment an animal leaves its pasture, and the herd overview replaces manual counting.

Key Benefits

Find animals in minutes

Herd position and history are on the map, so a missing animal is located from the office instead of by riding the fence line.

Virtual fencing

Geo-fence alerts warn you about animals leaving the pasture or gathering near roads and boundaries.

Earlier health insight

Temperature and activity trends flag sick or in-heat animals before production and reproduction are affected.
